How can I get involved? How can I make a difference?
There are several ways for individuals to get involved and make a difference. For years now, we have heard the expression: “Think global. Act local.” It is a good approach, because if every community did this, we would collectively be acting globally.
• Learn: Go to our Learn and follow our green links to brush up on your green education. The first step to getting involved and making a difference is for each of us to learn what it takes to getting green.
• Act: Make conscious efforts, on a daily basis, to take actual steps toward being green.
• Participate: Participate in local government, meetings, committees, and councils in order to help your local government make good, green decisions. When you join with others, your voice is louder and more effective. Your voice and input will help our communities to conserve our natural resources and to proliferate clean, renewable energy.
ACE Membership
ACE is currently developing a membership program. The program has the following goals:
• Create a green network of members
• Gather addresses (mailing and email) from members in order to share information
• Keep members informed through our website community, newsletters, and other mediums
• Promote the organization and its efforts
• Establish a revenue stream for our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
Individuals, who contribute a certain amount of money per year (TBD), become ACE members. Members automatically receive an ACE green kit. The items to be included in the kit are currently being determined, but a sample kit may include the following items: an ACE t-shirt, green emergency flashlight, living green guide, and coupons to various green products and services. In addition, members will receive our email newsletter in order to stay informed of the various ACE efforts and ACE events.
