EPA Green Fair

On April 22, 2009, EPA New England will be celebrating Earth Day by hosting its 7th Annual Green Expo, a vendor fair featuring energy efficient, recycled, less-toxic, organic or otherwise environmentally preferable products and services. This year's theme will be Climate Change and Energy. The event focuses on consumer products and services (not institutional items) and is designed to educate and empower the purchasing decisions of over 800 EPA staff and invited guests, including all local federal agencies. The fair will provide an opportunity for local, regional and out-of-state vendors to display their products and services, to connect, network, and get an idea of what else is out there. Because the event will not be held in space owned or leased by the federal government, the sale of products and services is permitted, but is not required for participation nor representative of an endorsement by EPA New England. Please visit our website and submit an online registration now! Apply here: http://yosemite.epa.gov/r1/videolen.nsf/greenexpo. The fair will be held in space located in our office building at One Congress Street, Boston, MA from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm with setup beginning at 9:00 am.

Common Ground County Fair

The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA), online at www.mofga.org, is hosting their annual fair on the weekend of September 25 - 27, 2009.

MOFGA celebrated its 32nd Common Ground Country Fair on September 19, 20 & 21, 2008, in Unity, Maine. 59,000 people took part in our annual celebration of rural living. Mark your calendars for the 2009 Fair on September 25, 26 & 27!

The Fair allows fairgoers to make connections with a rapidly expanding base of organic farms in the state of Maine. Hundreds of vendors, exhibitors and demonstrators, more than 1,000 volunteers, and tens of thousands of fairgoers will gather to: share knowledge about sustainable living; eat delicious, organic, Maine-grown food; buy and sell beautiful Maine crafts and useful agricultural products; compete in various activities; dance; sing and have a great time.
