Action for Clean Energy Inc. (ACE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization incorporated under Massachusetts state law, created to provide alternative energy solutions for cities and towns around the world.

Mission

ACE seeks to
• educate, inform, and train the general public, including citizens, public officials, communities, and organizations about (1) renewable, clean energy technologies and (2) energy efficiency, conservation practices, and recycling
• engage in any and all activities to charitably promote or otherwise provide charitable assistance in furtherance of the construction, installation, and deployment of renewable energy sources and the use of energy conservation measures
• be a resource for green energy development, employing easily accessible information-sharing techniques and mediums such as the internet
• inform the general public about renewable, clean energy projects, such that these projects can reach proper funding and invest levels while providing investors with potential green investment opportunities
• be exclusively charitable, scientific, and educational in its nature

Services

ACE provides workshops and training on community clean energy development. These local, regional, and national activities include, but are not limited to conference presentations, lectures, panel discussions, Q&A sessions. ACE (insert link: www.actionforcleanenergy.org) has worked with or is continuing to work with many organizations such as the Northeast Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), national Renewable Energy Labs (NREL), the United States Department of Energy (DOE), Windustry.org, the Massachusetts Climate Action Network (MCAN), and the Institute for Professional and Executive Development (IPED).

ACE provides free tours to various windmills in Massachusetts and free technical assistance to numerous community energy projects, in a charitable, non-commercial manner.

ACE provides education and outreach to numerous colleges and universities, including Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Suffolk University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Brandeis University, and Tufts University. ACE is in the early stages of developing charter chapters of ACE at local colleges and universities.

ACE is currently developing a relationship with New Generation Energy, a local non-profit organization, to develop project-specific capabilities for renewable, clean energy development projects, with the goal of (1) creating green investment opportunities for eco-friendly, socially responsible investors and (2) providing funding options for communities that may otherwise not able to afford to get involved in renewable, clean energy development projects.
