There are a few different designs in the  tidal turbine field.  Our affiliates use one in particular called the Helical Turbine. These turbines are designed to use the kinetic energy of flowing water to create electrical energy. The word heilical refers to the shape of the turbine its self, spiraling in the same fashion as a DNA strand.  The blades are shaped like the thread on a screw and this creates a cross flow within the turbine.

A wind turbine is a type of wind energy system which transforms the kinetic energy  of the wind into electrical energy that can be harnessed for practical use. An average U.S. household uses about 10,655 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity each year.  One megawatt of wind energy can generate from 2.4 to more than 3 million kWh annually.

There are two main forms of Solar Energy, solar hot water and Photo Voltaic (PV) solar. Solar hot water can cut down costs on the second most expensive bill in the house for many by using the same water in a circular fashion within the house that can provide enough water for up to 70% of your hot water needs.  Photo Voltaic or PV systems provide electricity to the home. Photovoltaic energy is the conversion of sunlight to electricity through a photovoltaic cell (PV), a non-mechanical device usually made from silicon alloys. As sunlight strikes a PV cell, it creates an electron imbalance between the front and back surfaces of the cell. Electricity occurs when these two surfaces are joined together by a conductor.
